Training for Impact

About the Program

Training for Impact

Training others is a powerful way to strengthen the movement to end domestic and sexual violence — but how do you make sure your trainings truly have an impact?

In this three-month program, you’ll explore proven approaches to training design and facilitation, try them out in your own work, and learn alongside a supportive community of peers from across the country and territories.

Who is this program for?

Training for Impact (TFI) is for professionals who lead trainings as part of their role and want to take their training facilitation and design abilities to the next level.

Why apply?

What you’ll learn

You’ll learn to design and lead trainings that truly engage and inspire.

Through hands-on practice, real-world application, and ongoing support from peers and Amplify staff, you’ll sharpen your skills, deepen your impact, and build greater resilience—both personally and within your organization—to help strengthen the movement to end domestic and sexual violence.

Structure of the program

Meet In-Person in Vermont

Training for Impact begins with a four-day in-person intensive focused on training design and facilitation strategies that foster learning and engagement.

Cohort members will gather at the Vermont Network’s office and complete a Learning-Centered Design Course, facilitated with Global Learning Partners and Amplify Leadership Lab staff.

Apply Learnings to Your Own Work

After the in-person meeting, you’ll apply the approaches you’ve learned by designing and facilitating a training in your own work.

Gather
virtually

Throughout the program, you’ll receive on-going online support from your cohort peers and the Amplify team.

Amplify staff lead additional virtual learning opportunities, giving you space to reflect on the successes and challenges of applying new training design and facilitation strategies in your work.

Cohort members can also join virtual office hours to receive individualized support on improving their training design and facilitation plans and integrating these learnings into future projects.
