Selene Colburn
Selene brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to her work as co-director of the Vermont Council on Domestic Violence. She is a co-founder of Vermont Access to Reproductive Freedom (an abortion fund), served a combined five terms in the Vermont House of Representatives and on the Burlington City Council, and worked extensively in the cultural heritage sector in Vermont, including as a research librarian at the University of Vermont. Her work as an activist and policy maker has centered survivor supports, justice reform, harm reduction, and reproductive rights. Whether working toward a liberated, violence-free world, enjoying nature with family and friends, or making art in community, Selene thrives on experiences of connection and collaboration.
