Sara Sweeney

In her role as Director of Healthy Youth Initiatives, Sara fosters youth wellness and healthy sexuality in service of uprooting the causes of violence and supporting all people to thrive. Her work centers on empowering youth voices, including leading statewide initiatives and collaborating on Rape Prevention Education (RPE) grant programming, a sexual violence prevention program. She has provided education, outreach, direct service, and, most recently, grantmaking with an anti-racism lens. She is deeply committed to building relationships and community trust, and is most proud of her work that has been guided by love and healing. Sara reclaims joy by spending time with her partner, adventuring outdoors, laughing as much as possible, dreaming of a liberated world, and being a tía.
