Karen Tronsgard-Scott
Karen Tronsgard-Scott has been working to end violence against women in Vermont, across the country and in eastern Europe since 1995. She is focused on integrating a strong anti-oppression approach into advocacy models.
Karen Tronsgard-Scott is the Executive Director of the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Vermont’s federally recognized coalition of organizations seeking to end violence against women. She is a nationally recognized speaker on issues related to domestic and sexual violence and on non-profit leadership.
Tronsgard-Scott began her career in advocacy and non-profit leadership in the 1980’s as a volunteer at a school for children with developmental disabilities in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She was the Executive Director of a domestic and sexual violence services organization in southeastern Ohio for the thirteen years prior to coming to Vermont to lead the Vermont Network.
