Heather Holter
Heather is the Co-Director of the Vermont Council on Domestic Violence (Council), a leadership role she has held for over 15 years. Heather is proud to have been involved in the movement to end gender-based violence in Vermont for 25+ years, and has learned so much from survivors and people who have caused harm in their intimate relationships. She believes in every human being’s ability to learn from their mistakes, and effect deep and lasting personal change. Heather loves Vermont in all seasons and has been grateful to raise three smart, adventurous daughters on a mountain with her wonderful partner and their dog, numerous cats, and many chickens. She believes that being present, being kind, and building connection create the best opportunities for radical change.
