Bessie McManus

In her role as Director of Learning Engagement, Bessie works in tandem with the training team to create meaningful learning and leadership experiences. She connects with adrienne maree brown’s message that “there is a conversation in the room that only these people at this moment can have.” She is dedicated to unearthing that conversation at every Vermont Network training and gathering. She is equally as committed to rallying around those at the center of harm after it happens as she is to building a culture of nurturance to promote the power of relationships done right. Bessie loves creating the most enriching life her dog, Eleanor, playing ultimate frisbee, and watching her nieces grow up. She is always taking recs for crockpot recipes and ’80s movies (preferably to be enjoyed at the same time)!
