The Lullaby Project pairs parents and caregivers with professional Vermont musicians and writers to compose and sing lullabies for their children. The Vermont Network and our partners have brought the Lullaby Project to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our communities and at the Vermont women’s correctional facility.
“…in a place like [the correctional facility] you don’t get a chance to express to your kids you love them, you’re sorry you messed up… also, telling your kids, you can do anything [look what I did]” -Lullaby Project Participant who wrote a lullaby during a workshop in the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility
Each song is a jewel that amplifies love, connection and healing. Come hear Scrag Mountain Music and their special guests perform a gorgeous set of home-made lullabies and prepare to be transported.
The Healing Together Art Show
Running September 25 – October 6, 2024, Wednesday – Sunday, noon – 4 PM
